To bring about meaningful change, individuals need ongoing encouragement and tools. We’re here day in and day out to provide the resources our communities need to address the most pressing social issues: child welfare, education, employment, housing and substance abuse. We work to make sure every child, family and community has what they need to achieve their best.
Protecting Children
Seasons change, days get shorter before they get longer, and we celebrate milestones in our lives. The Y is proud to be part of the fabric of life for thousands of individuals who look to us for impact in the areas of child care, youth programs, healthy living and a sense of community.
Housing & Supportive Services
The YMCA of Central Ohio’s supportive housing program for adult men and women provides the assistance and support needed to maintain independent housing and provides access to wrap-around supportive services needed in order to achieve the highest possible standard of living.
Diversity & Inclusion
For more than 165 years, the Y has played a central role in knitting together the vibrant fabric of America. There have been times of peace and times of conflict, times of unity and times of discord. Through it all, our democracy has persevered, and the Y has been a safe, welcoming place for people from all backgrounds.
Juvenile Justice
The YMCA of Central Ohio's Positive Alternative Learning for Students program and Truancy Program serves as a structured and supervised environment for 6th to 12th grade students who have been suspended from school.
Early Childhood Resource Network+
ECRN+ is here to support you and your family. We have more than 30 years of experience working with children who have special needs (developmental delays, disabilities and special health care needs) and their families.
Food Program
The YMCA is proud to participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program. The goal of this program is to increase the YMCA's ability to meet the nutritional needs of children in our care by getting reimbursed for meals and snacks that meet CACFP requirements.
Military Outreach
Deployment can be a stressful and uncertain time for our nation's service men and women and their families. In partnership with the Armed Services, YMCA and the Department of Defense, the Y is proud to offer memberships and respite child-care services to eligible military families and personnel to give them extra support during this difficult period. It's our way of giving back to those who dedicate themselves to serving our country.
Volunteer
Volunteers are key to the success of the YMCA. Our staff depends on the talent and the extra hands that make everything we do a little extra special. The children and adults that participate in our programs and services look to our volunteers as models who can provide guidance to them. Your presence says you care about your YMCA!
Advocacy
The Ohio Alliance of YMCAs is a nonprofit association that represents the 164 YMCAs throughout Ohio. We are a grassroots driven and governed organization that advocates and educates on behalf of the YMCAs and its mission.
New American Welcome Centers
At the Y, strengthening communities is our cause and we are committed to helping all people reach their full potential. We believe the strength and cohesiveness of our communities is linked to the overall prosperity of the nation.
