Job Descriptions

 

Lead a before & after school childcare site, overseeing staff, activities, and curriculum while ensuring a safe, compliant, and engaging environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff and daily activities

  • Implement curriculum (STEM, fitness, homework help)

  • Ensure site safety and ODJFS compliance

  • Build relationships with families and schools

Qualifications:

Support the Site Director in creating a safe, engaging environment for school-age children. Help lead daily activities and ensure program quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and implement curriculum (STEM, fitness, nutrition, homework help)

  • Maintain site organization and cleanliness

  • Assist with curriculum planning and special events

  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and school staff

Qualifications:

  • 18+ with high school diploma/GED and 1+ year experience with school-age children

  • Current or willing to obtain First Aid, communicable disease, and child abuse prevention certifications

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Able to work well with diverse groups

Support the Lead Teacher and Site Director in creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for children through curriculum assistance and site maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily curriculum activities (STEM, nutrition, homework help)

  • Maintain site organization and cleanliness

  • Help with newsletters, curriculum plans, and special events

  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff

Qualifications:

  • High school student in a certified program or 18+ with a high school diploma/GED

  • Willing to obtain First Aid, communicable disease, and child abuse prevention certifications

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Experience working with children preferred

Most of our youth programs run on a Monday–Friday schedule:

  • Before School: 7 AM – 9 AM
  • After School: 2 PM – 6 PM

    It’s perfect for those who want to make a difference while still managing other weekday commitments.

When school’s out, our youth, and you, have extra opportunities to shine. We offer:

  • Summer day camp staffing roles—gain experience, continue your mission, and impact kids all summer
  • Year-round placements, with programs available during school holidays, snow days, and breaks

Yes! If you’re looking to take on more, you’re in luck. Additional hours are available, not only within child care but across our organization.
