Serving as the successor to the Spring Street YMCA, the Eldon & Elsie Ward Family YMCA was built in 1918 to serve the Black community and continues to be an integral part of Columbus’ history, serving generations of families and creating pathways of opportunities so that all people can reach their full potential.
