Our masters swim team competes in USA swim meets. Practices are from 5:30am - 7:00am on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Cost is $5 per week.Learn to be a Safe Sitter-Sept. 11Safe Sitter, a nationally certified babysitting class offered by the Ohio State University Medical Center's Department of Women & Infants, teaches safe and nurturing childcare techniques, behavior management skills, appropriate responses to medical emergencies and more. Program instructors are RN perinatal educators and CPR certified. Developed by pediatricians, Safe Sitter is recognized by the American Academy of Pediatrics for educational excellence. Class will be held at the Hilliard YMCA on Sept. 11th from 9am-3:30pm for ages 11-17 years of age. Pre-registration required. Fee $50.00, registration deadline Sept. 14, 2010.Hilliard YMCA After School Teen ClubThe Hilliard YMCA offers an After School Teen Club at Hilliard United Methodist Church (Annex Building) for Hilliard students who attend Station & Tharp 6th Grade Schools, Heritage, Memorial and Weaver Middle Schools. The program runs Monday-Friday from the end of school until 6pm, and will only operate when Hilliard City Schools are in session. Teens will be required to do homework or read independently during a designated homework time, be able to participate in group activities based on different daily themes, enjoy a daily snack, and for that much needed downtime, just take it easy and hang out with friends! Hilliard YMCA School Days Off ProgramSchool Days Off (SDO) is a state-licensed program held at the Hilliard YMCA where children will receive a nutritious morning and afternoon snack and participate in a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, swimming, large and small group games, gym or outside activities and much more! The School Days Off program serves children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. The School Days Off program operates from 7:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday during days that Hilliard Schools are NOT in session throughout school year, except for the following holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday and Memorial Day. ** Pre-registration at least 7 days in advance of an SDO or SDO week is required. ** Completed Health Forms must be submitted or already on file at the time of SDO registration.Have a question? The focus of Leaders Club is to develop leadership skills, volunteer in the community, build everlasting relationships and achieve personal goals. Leaders Club will provide your teen with an ultimate experience, great friends and memories that will last a lifetime. Leaders Club is designed for 6-12 graders and members will need to commit to attending regular meetings, participate in special activities and attend occasional overnight or weekend events. During the weekly meetings, the club will discuss volunteer opportunities in Columbus, fund-raising for the club and upcoming leadership training events. Leaders Club members will be challenged in a team builder or personal achievement activity to close each meeting. Leaders Club is offered to Full and Program members.Have a question?
