Mother-Son Super-Hero Party

Event will be held at Mingo Park indoor basketball court. An Ice Cream Bar will be available at 6:30pm followed by games that will test your super hero strength. A photographer will be on site taking pictures that can be purchased Dad’s will not be allowed to stay. Super-Hero costumes are encouraged.
Easter Egg Hunt and Kite Festival
Date: March 31, 2018 11am sharp
Location: Veterans Park, 1121 S. Houk Road
Join us for the City of Delaware Easter Egg Hunt at 11AM on the Soccer Fields at the Delaware YMCA. The Easter Bunny will be there. There will be food trucks. Bring a kite and join in the family fun after the hunt. Please bring your own basket. Ages 1-9. FREE.
Healthy Kids Day (Not an Official City Event)
Date: Saturday, April 28, 2018
Location: YMCA, 1121 S. Houk Road
Bring the entire family for games, activities, crafts, & information about keeping your kids and family healthy. There will be a bounce house, door prizes, healthy snacks, fire truck, police department, library, ODJFS, martial arts demonstrations, and many other local organizations. Kids can also participate in a fit test, and other fun activities. There will also be a 5K and 1 Mile fun run at 8:00AM; registration forms at the front desk.

Delaware Safety Town is a one-week educational program geared for children entering kindergarten or first grade in fall. Safety Town is an interactive program that is designed to educate the children in a variety of safety topics and techniques that can be utilized in real-life situations. Topic include: fire safety, bike, bus, and pedestrian safety, the proper use of 911, poisons, stranger awareness, traffic safety, and animal safety. In addition participants will be introduced to fire fighters, police
officers, school bus drivers, and many other community helpers. Must register in person - no mailed registrations will be accepted.

Dogs must be licensed, current on all vaccinations and much have the appropriate paperwork on file with our office prior to the event. Friendly dogs only please. Space is limited.
Pumpkin Run and Sweet Feat Walk and Halloween Party

Come dressed in your finest ghoulish gear and join our family friendly event. Activities include a trunk or treat stations, inflatables, live music, costume contest and safety demonstrations from our local fire and police departments. Treats include grilled hotdogs, cookies, a bonfire for roasting marshmallows and a cartload of pumpkins for the picking.
Calls From The North Pole
Imagine the delight when your good little boy or girl gets a call from the North Pole. Santa, Mrs. Claus or their elves will call children ages 9 and younger on Thursday, December 6th between 5pm-7pm. To arrange this personalized call, complete the Calls from the North Pole request form(available after Nov. 1st). Return the form by Dec.3rd to the Delaware YMCA or mail to Delaware YMCA 1121 S. Houk Rd, Delaware OH 43015.

RENT A FIELD, PARK OR POOL FACILITY
Facility rental requests for the 2017 calendar year can be submitted to the Mingo Park Recreation Center Office located at 500 E. Lincoln Ave. in Delaware beginning January 2nd during normal business hours. Business hours are Monday thru Friday, 8am to 8pm and on weekends, noon to 7pm. After that week, requests can also be submitted at the Delaware Community Center YMCA located at 1121 South Houk Rd. in Delaware. Facilities are reserved on a first approved, first paid basis and subject to final approval by the rentals coordinator. Businesses and/or organizations may be required to provide a liability insurance certificate.

3-SEASON SHELTER AT MINGO PARK
The 3-Season Shelter is an enclosed shelter available from April 1 through the end of October. This facility has a maximum capacity of 100 people and is equipped with large picnic tables, electrical outlets, ceiling fans, a drinking fountain, counter space with sink and running water, and a stone fireplace. No reservations will be accepted before January 3, 2012 for reservations in 2012.

This multi-purpose room, located in the Mingo Park Complex, is available for rental by individuals, organizations, and businesses. It is ideal for meetings, family reunions, wedding receptions or showers, birthday parties, and much more. The room dimensions are 48” x 48” with a maximum capacity of 100 people. The kitchen is also available to rent for an additional fee. However, the kitchen is unavailable for use May 1- October 1.

JACK FLORANCE POOL
The Jack Florance Pool at Mingo Park is available for your group or family summer event. The pool is available on a first-paid, first-served basis with a two-hour minimum after regular hours on weekends between 7:30 - 10:30 pm, or weekdays between 8:30-10:30 pm. Phone 740-203-3051

BIRTHDAY PARTIES at JACK FLORANCE POOL
Celebrate your special day at the pool with 10-25 of your closest friends and family. Includes uese of a designated area for parties, located under blue awning next to the lap pool for 2 hours, and the ablility to swim as long as you'd like after the party. You are welcome to bring in your own food and beverage or purchase something from our concession stand. Tables are provided in your designated area; there is no alcohol or glass permitted on the premises. Parties occur during normal operating hours only.

National Guard Gym, Kitchen, and Room Rentals
The newest addition to the Delaware Community Center YMCA is the National Guard. There are conference rooms, a full industrial size kitchen, and a gymnasium available for rent. POOL RULES AND POLICIES
EFFECTIVE SUMMER OF 2015: In order to provide for a pleasant swimming experience the Jack Florance Pool staff will have a “Zero Tolerance” rule with regard to language and behavior. If you, a family member or a guest is reported as using foul language or acting inappropriately to a member of the Jack Florance staff, that person will be asked to leave for at least the remainder of the day or for the length of time that the staff member feels appropriate. If the inappropriate behavior continues once the person is permitted back in the pool, that person will be banned from the pool for the balance of the season and no refund will be given. If you feel that any member of your family cannot abide by this new policy, we respectfully encourage you not to purchase a membership.
Weather Inclement: We reserve the right to close Jack Florance Swimming Pool due to inclement weather.
EFFECTIVE SUMMER OF 2015- Lap Pool Shallow-end: Any swimmer under the height of 5 ft. must sucessfully complete the deep water test or be accompanied by an adult.
