Join us for an exciting summer at Camp Lewis Center! Campers will have loads of fun with our activities and fields trips. The Day Camp at Lewis Center is located at the Alum Creek Church. This camp has its own respective location and is not at the YMCA Branch.

Specialty Camps at the Josephinum

If you're looking for something new and creative this year, check out our Specialty Camps! Campers from both the Liberty Township/Powell and North YMCAs will participate in themed and traditional camp activities each day. No prior experience is required for any of these exciting camps; just a can-do attitude and a desire to have fun!

Week 1 & 4 - Tennis Week
Campers will learn strokes such as; fore hand, back hand, volley, lobe, smash and serve. This week is open to all campers in beginner to immediate levels. Tennis Week is not progressive. Each camper must bring their own racquet and balls each day.Week 2 - From the page to the stage!
It's time to get creative. Campers will experience drama and music by writing their own plays and skits, using music to add movements and dance to their masterpiece. No experience required - just lots of energy and creativity needed. Campers will end the week with a performance for all. Bring your musical instruments if you wish.Week 3 - Artists' Studio
Create your own masterpieces through drawing, painting and sculpture. No experience necessary - just a love for all things art!Week 5 - Adventures in Flight
It's high flying fun as we learn about things that fly, how they fly and then make our own flying creations. Watch out this week could get crazy!Week 6 - Under Construction
Put your hard hats on! Get ready to hammer, sand, paint and stain your own special creations that you build (with help of course)! No experience necessary.Week 7 - Mad Scientist
This week is a fantastic array of wacky science experiments and activities for the science lover in every kid!Week 8 - Into the Wilderness
Have fun outdoors while you learn the basics of outdoor living and safety through cooking, shelter construction, fire building and orienteering.Week 9 - Creative Cooking
Calling all future chefs! Come to camp for a week full of fun and kid-friendly recipes that you will make. Some materials required parents will be informed 1 week prior to cooking week.Week 10

3 Steps to Registering for Day Camp
Step 1Include a $25 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit per child, for each week of camp your child/children will be attending. If attending Before or After care also include a $5 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit per child for each week of Before and After care your child(ren)will be attending. This fee is part of the total fee for the week and not an additional charge. Checks, money orders and all major credit cards are accepted. Examples: 2 weeks of camp for 1 child=$50 deposit 2 weeks of camp each for 2 children=$100 deposit OR |
Step 2Complete Day Camp Registration Packet, select your camp packet below.
Download, print, read, and complete the forms for your camp and return them to the North YMCA. All fees, paperwork, or changes are due 14 days prior to the first day of each camp week. Checks, money orders and all major credit cards are accepted. Failure to pay in full may result in the campers name being removed from the camp roster. Other Information |
