Summer Day CampGRADES 1-6
Summer just wouldn't be the same without the excitement and adventure of a YMCA Day Camp. For over 30 years, central Ohio children have come together for a summer full of nature, water fun, games, cookouts, arts & crafts and new friendships! A wide variety of programs are offered for children grades 1 through 10, with special programs designed just for teens. Traditional, Sports and Specialty Camps are available. Camp runs June through August of each year. Several camps are accredited by the American Camping Association. Membership Assistance is available. Overnight Summer CampYMCA CAMP WILLSON
Enjoy the best that summer has to offer with swimming, boating, archery, campfires, food, singing, sports, nature, camp-outs, and much more at Camp Willson – the YMCA's premier resident camp. Serving children since 1918, Camp Willson is located just one hour northwest of Columbus in Bellefontaine, Ohio. Perfect for children ages 7 through 17 offering Traditional, Horseback, Specialty and Teen Camps. Family Camps, Men's/Women's Weekends, Horselovers and Teen Weekends are also available throughout the year. The Willson Outdoor Center is proud to be accredited by both the American Camping Association and the Certified Horsemanship Association. |
Camp Can DoCamp for Children with Special Needs
With Camp Can Do, the YMCA and the Early Childhood Resource Network+ (ECRN+) extend the opportunity to enjoy and participate in nature to our young special-needs population. Running concurrently with YMCA Day Camp at three local YMCA branches, Camp Can Do is a special summer day camp for children and young adults with moderate to intensive special needs, ages 6 through 21 years. Camp activities are tailored to the unique needs of these kids, and staff of counselors at each site consist of teachers from our local school districts experienced in working with children who have special needs. |

very day of your week brings a new and different adventure, and each of the four TeenXtreme locations has its own palette of activities to choose from. One day you could be making jewelry and playing in a basketball tournament; the next you might find yourself on a trail in the woods, cooking up a gourmet lunch outdoors, or swimming under twenty feet of water with SCUBA gear. |
